Established in July 1988 with the approval of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, Shanghai Overseas Affairs Service Center is a special organ to provide agency service for self-financed overseas students as well as for personal-purpose overseas-goers and entrants-an organ having the earliest accreditation of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Public Security. Besides, it is also an agency for overseas employment service approved by the Ministry of Labor Security and an agency for talented professionals approved by the Shanghai Municipal Personnel Bureau as well as one of' the earliest brokerage members for property right ownership of Shanghai Assets and Equity Exchange.

Guided by the operation concept of “international Orientation, Specialization and Standardization” and the tenet of superior service quality and bona fides, we have succeeded in establishing cooperation relationship with institutions of learning in 21 countries in the world and formed an exit and entry service industry with complete range of services such as self-financed overseas study, visa application, permanent residence abroad, business investigation, overseas employment, education and training, translation, notarization, employment agency, certificate delivery, and property rights exchange.  

Through past years of reform and development, this center has now formed a business structure of “Oversea Study Port”, “Exit and Entry Port” and “Business Port”, which are mutually reliant, appearing the strategic distribution of Headquarters on West Yan’an Rd., Hanzhong Rd. Branch and Pudong Branch, which work in concern with each other. According to incomplete statistics, the person-time of customers the center has served has reached one million since the founding of this center till now. The “Oversea Study Port” has become a famous brand in Shanghai’s overseas study agency field, and this center has been built to be an intermediary service organization with complete range of business and rather great popularity in the society.
